At The Kirkbride Center we accept referrals and admissions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by phone at 215-471-2488 and by fax at 215-471-2028. We accept referrals from crisis response and assessment centers, treatment providers (inpatient and outpatient), the Forensic Intensive Recovery Program and the court system, as well as walk-ins. Due to the size of our program, we typically have patients discharging daily, creating new openings on a daily basis.
Prior to formal admission, patients will undergo a formal, face-to-face evaluation to gain a full understanding of their background. This is in order to ensure their current needs are fully within the facility’s scope of practice and to place them within the best treatment area for their needs.
Upon admission, Kirkbride Center performs a formal evaluation to determine the appropriate level of care for each person based on individual strengths, challenges, needs, and relative level of functioning. We also include families and other close personal supports in each person’s care while at Kirkbride when possible. Our staff at Kirkbride Center works with each person individually to create a treatment plan tailored to their specific needs. Before leaving Kirkbride, each person will work with their treatment team to create a continuing care plan for after discharge to link each person with the supportive programs in their community (such as outpatient, intensive outpatient, vocational and educational programs, etc.) to provide the best opportunity for continuing success.
Treatment at the Kirkbride Center is covered by most insurance plans, including Medicaid, Community Behavioral Health, Magellan, and many others. Our staff will gladly assist you in securing insurance authorization.
